An Edwardian / late Victorian mahogany wooden stationary cabinet.
With an inlaid detail design to the exterior and fitted red leather interior writing area and pull forward letter rack.
This extremely high quality piece of craftsmanship features a very unusual large secret locking compartment to the side. It opens by pulling one of the pigeon hole diverted forward. In turn this will make the secret drawer pop open. I have never seen one open like this before, took me a while to figure out how to do it.
A lovely item for anyones home desk or sideboard.
34cm X 24cm
Condition - Light surface scratches. At some point the hidden drawer has been forced open with a screwdriver resulting in a small are of mahogany being chipped. It has been repaired but is still slight visible. Front panel has bowed near lock which means lock will not close properly and pops open.
